Yoga and computer users
Yoga is a very good preventive
for computer users as it releases lower back pain.
Up to 20% of men and women at
have surgery for back pain will get no benefits at all. At times
the back has more problems than before. The remaining 80 % will
have problems ranging from mild to bad. All will have trouble with
the problem of spinal flexion.
If you sit for long hours at the computer it is good to start a
yoga practice. If you are a computer user and do yoga it will be a
great preventive measure and you\o will feel good too. Yoga
promises that if you practice the asanas every day, there will be
no pain and you will build up a strong spine, restructuring
posture and your body image.
Once you have back problems from
too much computer use, you must check out how you stand, sit
and lie down.
Here are a few yoga guidelines
for computer users:
It is best to sleep on a firm bed, with a flat pillow under your
head and a one under your knees. This will help the spine to
reposition and adjust itself.
Do not wear high heels as this throws the spine out of balance.
Do not go in for strenuous aerobics, jogging, running until your
back is stronger
For lower back pain, sitting is the most painful. Sit on a firm
seat and sit on your buttock bones. Do not loll back on the
lower spine. Wedge a rolled towel behind your back to keep
you straight.
On of the best postures is to
sit on a chair and roll forward to touch the floor with your
hands. This stretches the lower back in a easy and safe way. Try
this yoga computer user posture a few times a day.
When the pain is acute and you can neither sit nor stand in
comfort, rest in bed and wait until the pain is milder
before starting any postures.
All asanas have healing properties. They will act
gently stretching the spinal muscles in easy extension postures.
Strength will be gradually built up in the muscles and buttocks,
abdominal organs will be toned and strengthened, and pressure
points all along the spine will be stimulated.
